The Breton stripe is essential on the streets, in fact the famous stripe is more present than ever!
The Breton Strip was originally conceived for French fishing. Here's the official version: fine knit with three-quarter sleeves or longer, a bateau neckline and 21 navy blue and white stripes (each stripe symbolizes Napoleon's victory!). This sweater makes it easy to spot sailors falling overboard. In 1858 the shirt became the official binder of the French naval uniform.
COCO CHANNEL
Coco Chanel hated an eye for the possibilities of the Breton look. In 1917 she added the striped fisherman's wear to her collection and a timeless costume was born. From Picasso to Brigitte Bardot, behold everyone who loves to walk in the Breton Strip.

The Breton stripe can now be found in all possible variants in sweaters and cardigans, dresses and hats, scarves and espadrilles. And they're also available in all sorts of colors, such as Lilac-White, Bright Blue-Black, Black-White, or Red-White. The French fisherman could proudly signal!
